IREPAS: Long steel product market worsens while scrap prices fall causing panic

(Daiphuc corp) -  According to the International Association of Rebar Manufacturers and Exporters (IREPAS), the price of long steel products is currently increasing sharply. Meanwhile, high energy prices continue to affect the European manufacturing sector, and inflation hampering regular consumption is sure to exacerbate the situation in the long steel product market.

However, it is difficult to understand why the market has remained quiet in recent weeks and what has caused the price of scrap to drop sharply.

The association concluded that due to trade measures, competition in the global long-term products market remains rather regional. At the same time, Russian exports continue to influence prices.
